Tiny By Design - Roof framing

Here is the promised roof post. I felt that the windows needed to be mentioned first as they were all built except the dormer, even before the frame went up.

Enter our good friends from Dryden, Ontario, out for a break from the winter blues. Rob helped Steve in their last week with the framing  of the roof. Again it changed the experience of the building.

Next, the platform for the loft was installed. Brianna, Abella and Georgia were responsible for this. We chose the herringbone pattern in nostalgia for the last house we renovated which Courtney had laid. As Design and Tech. are part of homeschooling, using the power tools and laying the floor covered LOTS of areas!

Barge boards were the next thing.
And then we decided that to  have light coming in on two sides in the loft, we had to build a dormer! Note the red ladder - it was a birthday present for Steve from our Canadian guests!

A thing of rhythm and beauty.
                                     Next, roofing iron .

Your work is really nice and I am interested to study that design. I can see that in your design, the roof is well ventilated. This will avoid the major damages of the roof if the climate changes. I am currently planning to build my own house and I saw this roof design on the internet. When I told this design to my father, he was amazed and he wants our new house to have this roof design. I reviewed your works and those are amazing too.
